Story: When Hamal began his journey to Italy, he had to stay some nights out in the desert. One night he stumbled across a teeny tiny lonely sand cat kitty. Not normal or native to the deserts around Egypt, it was curious how he got there.
Hamal was a too big hardass to even bother with the cat and walked right by. But the cat had other plans and followed him for hours and hours. When Hamal finally made a stop and put up his little camp for the night the tiny tired kitten came up to him once again. Hamal picked it up, walked a distance into the desert and dropped it. Then he walked back.
The cat had the determination of a hounded men and once again would not leave him alone. Hamal decided not to bother and went to sleep. When he woke up the kitten was asleep next to him, with a pile of dead lizards and bugs in front of them.
He could no longer resist the cuteness and decided to keep the cat around. He pet it and decided to name it Sokrates, dedicated to the fact that he met him on his way to Italy, and that Sokrates was the only name from that region he could come up with.
Such a heartwarming story. I'll probably scrap this later In Europe we write Sokrates with k not c, since it's more close to it's latin origin. stoopid 'murkas putting in non existent letters for easier pronunciation. Like Rome instead of Roma.
